Waldorf Nouveau with Walnut and Celery Seed Fricos


I have always dreamed of visiting the Waldorf Asotoria Hotel in New York. I image it to be the ultimate in luxury, where I could dine, wine and sleep in style! This dream lead me to create my own version of their classic Waldorf Salad. My "Nouveau" or "new" version lends a comptemporary twist on this old fashioned recipe, and shines with French flair. I felt I needed to honor this tried and true tradition by intensifying the original ingredients, not adding new distinct flavors. I want people to try this and know they are eating a Waldorf salad, just a fresh contemporary version of the classic recipe. I hope you will say "Bonjour" to my twist on this classic recipe!
